Attendant Bulletin Board

Description

The Attendant Bulletin Board is shared by all IP Console applications on the system that have a network connection. Use it to post information that you want other attendants to see and to store speed dial numbers that all attendants can access.

Programming

Information posted on the Bulletin Board is stored on your local hard drive by default, but it can also be set up as a shared file on the network or on a shared network drive which allows access to multiple users. The location of the file is configured from the console using the Tools > Options command.

To set-up the location of the bulletin board file:

  1. From the Tools menu in the console application, select Options.

  2. Click Tools from the side menu of the Options window.

  3. In the Bulletin Board section, enter the location of the file in the "Enter the full path for the shared bulletin board file:" field, or click Browse.

Operation

To post information on the Bulletin Board:

  1. Select Bulletin Board.

  2. Select Edit.

NOTE: Only one person at a time can edit the Bulletin Board; if someone else is editing it, the Bulletin Board background will remain gray after you press Edit.

  1. Type the information you want to post.

  2. Select Save.

  3. To view the most recent changes to the Bulletin Board, select Refresh.

To dial a telephone number posted on the Bulletin Board:

  1. Select the telephone number using the mouse or the computer keyboard.

  2. Select Call or double-click the selected number.
